Yanira Lopez Bio
Yanira is a dynamic Outside Hitter with an impressive volleyball career! A four-year varsity starter for Manassas Park High School, Yanira led her team to the State Quarterfinals in both 2017 and 2018. She broke the school record with an astounding 36 kills in a single match and surpassed 1,000 career kills. In 2018, she earned the title of Regional Player of the Year and became the first-ever Division I player from MPHS.
Yanira continued her volleyball journey at George Mason University from 2019 to 2023, where she achieved a personal record of 21 kills in one match. In 2022, she was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Seton Hall Invitational.
Yanira graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, combining her passion for sports with her academic pursuits.
